There's actually tons of Korean, Chinese and Japanese supermarkets and candy stores around Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond (especially Richmond).

Here are a few off the top of my head:

Fujiya - Vancouver (Venables Street and Clark Drive + Pender and Burrard...

kayburg asked: For the NY kitkat question..... If you are close to NYC/jersey, there is a huge Japanese supermarket called Mitsuwa by the GWB (on the jersey side). If not, there are most likely small Japanese places in NYC. I used to go to one by Bryant park (next to book-off's old location) but they changed into a mini sushi restaurant. In Ktown (near Penn) there's an H-mart (which is a Korean store)...
